Bayside Makerspace empowers busy grown-ups to explore creativity with their community through workshops, events, and space to enjoy and connect.
We believe everyone is creative (even if they haven’t met their glitter-loving side yet). Whether you’re cutting your first Cricut design, tufting your way to a fluffy masterpiece, or just here for the laughs and the laminator, we’re here to help you make something — be it art, confidence, or new friendships.
We’re proudly women-led, tea-fuelled, and obsessed with creating a space where you can feel supported, inspired, and a little bit magical. No egos, no pressure — just joy, scissors, and the occasional glue gun burn (it happens).

Hey, I’m Sez! *
Hey, I’m Sez!
I’m the creator of Bayside Makerspace, mum of two creative little legends, and your go-to gal for Cricut hacks, tufting tangles, and craft-induced zen.
After burning out in corporate life (and surviving lockdown with a toddler, a homeschooler, and a trusty Cricut), I swapped boardrooms for craft rooms. What started as therapy turned into selling handmade accessories, teaching Cricut tips, and eventually dreaming up the creative community I’d been searching for right here in Bayside.
Bayside Makerspace was born as a fun, inclusive, and slightly messy space where people could make cool stuff, connect with their people, and discover that yes—you do have a creative side.
Now I spend my days helping others unleash their creativity, laugh at the chaos, and walk out of workshops with new skills, new friends, and something they made with their own two hands.
When I’m not crafting, you’ll find me shuffling furniture at the Makerspace, cheering on my kids at dance and cheer, or sipping the cold cup of tea I forgot about (again).
I can’t wait to welcome you in, hand you some glitter (or yarn, or vinyl), and show you how fun and freeing creativity can be.

A quiet place to gather your thoughts!
With access to the main area of the Makerspace featuring purpose-built craft tables, a TV screen for presenting via Google Cast and Apple AirPlay, showing a birds eye view of your live work, online meetings, Bluetooth speakers, free wifi, whiteboards, a tea and coffee trolley, and bathroom facilities. It can accommodate small creative workshops of 1 to 10 people seated at the tables, and seating for up to 15 people is available if tables are not required with multiple configurations to suit your event!

First time tufting and I wasn't sure how I’d go. But Sez made sure we had plenty of practice before starting on our projects. She walked us through each step, making sure we know what to expect and what to do. Great experience and I did much better than I expected!!
