1:1 Private Sewing Session for Absolute Beginners
Time: 2 hour session

Always wanted to sew but never knew where to start?
Join us for a one on one private sewing class just for you! We’ll show you how to use a sewing machine and get the basics underhand so you can start your sewing journey!
Meet your machine—learn the parts, thread it, make bobbins & create your first project!
All tools and materials provided, have a chance to try various sewing machines from Mini Elna, to computereised Singers and Heavy Duty machines so you can explore your options!
By the end, you’ll have basic skills to complete a finished sem, hem and walk away with creations to show off!

What you need to bring:
Just yourselves and your creative enthusiasm.
Experience needed:
Zilch! Just a keen curiosity to sew!
Suitable for 10 years to 110 years old.
The perfect way to start or continue your sewing journey in a one-on-one learning environment.
Cost:
Starting from $250 - 2 hrs
Additional $80 per hour thereafter up to 5 hours in one day
Makes: Completing a special project or working on techniques - this workshop is tailored just for you.
What you’ll do:
Don't worry if you're new to sewing! This workshop is a safe space for beginners, and you'll be gently guided through each step of the process. You're encouraged to ask questions, experiment, and make mistakes - it's all part of the learning journey.

Put your hair up and come to Bayside Makerspace ready to learn how to sew!

All sewing machines and tools such as pins, scissors, seam rippers with be provided. The Absolute Beginner series we’ll provide the fabric and materials to use but if you’re doing a Private lesson or the DIY Fashion series you’ll need to BYO fabric.

We absolutely love Bayside Makerspace! My 11yr old has just completed her 2nd term of the tween sewing series and she’s has learnt so much! Not just sewing skills, but patience, perseverance, organisation and new ways to express and celebrate her personal style - these classes are a great way to empower young girls to boldly be themselves!!
