Our teen creative workshops are ideal for kids aged 10-16 who love to express themselves through art and craft.

At Bayside Makerspace, our Tween and Teen workshops are all about ditching the screens and sparking creativity the old-fashioned way—face-to-face, hands-on, and full of fun. From experimenting with paint, yarn, fabric, and resin to making cool, one-of-a-kind projects, these sessions give young makers the chance to relax, connect, and express themselves in a welcoming, social environment.
It’s a space to make new friends, try new things, and discover just how rewarding (and fun!) creating in real life can be.

Tween & Teen UV Resin Accessories
Unleash your tween or teen's creativity in this hands-on creative workshop making one-of-a-kind accessories!
Duration: 1.5hrs
Cost: $75 per person
Ages: Suitable for 9 years +
What you'll do
In this workshop, tweens and teens alike will discover the endless creativity in making accessories using UV resin and a variety of sparkly fillers! From glitter to sequins to inks and more, this craft will leave them amazed at what they can create.
Don't worry if your teen is new to working with UV Resin, we'll guide them through safety measures and show them the types of fillers they can use to add colour and shine to their accessories.
During the workshop, they'll get hands-on experience using resin moulds to shape and cure their unique pieces. We'll utilise a UV lamp to cure their creations and demonstrate how to use jewellery pliers to connect their accessories together.
By the end of the workshop, your tween or teen will walk away with all their one-of-a-kind creations, feeling inspired by the process and excited to showcase their new accessories!

What you'll do
In this engaging workshop, discover the magic of our 'Charm Bar: Create Your Own Charm Jewellery DIY Workshop'. Learn how to craft charming jewellery and accessories while unleashing your creativity in a fun and supportive environment.
Through this activity, you will:
Select from a wide array of beautiful charms and pendants to design your own unique pieces
Create personalised charm bracelets, keychains, earrings, necklaces, or even a special gift
Explore a range of styles, from cute and whimsical to intricate and bold designs
During the workshop, you will:
Acquire the skills to assemble your creations using jump rings and jewellery tools
Have the opportunity to adjust sizes and charm placements to suit your preferences
Feel inspired and delighted as you see your vision come to life through your handcrafted accessories
At the end of the workshop, you will walk away with up to 3 pieces of your own creation to adorn yourself or share with loved ones. Immerse yourself in this transformative experience and express your individuality through the art of jewellery making.

Sez was amazing. A big group of 13 year olds, all at different levels of maturity. There couldn’t be a better activity. The girls were totally focussed for two hours and not one deviation to a phone. We are going to head back for a Mums’ class.
